This chapter provides an overview of Drawings Revision Control (DRC) and gives information
on its purpose, key features and structure.
Drawings Revision Control (DRC) is a new mechanism, implemented as a part of
Drawings SDK (C++ libraries) that allows you to leverage the features of revision
control applied to 3D CAD models. In fact, it is a new format: .dwg data + revision
control data. The term "new format" implies that it is always possible to export
any revision of DRC to a .dwg file and import a .dwg file as a new DRC revision.
