When you are ready to start the usage of the IFC SDK, it is recommended to follow the steps described below:

Download an appropriate IFC SDK archive for your platform and compiler. To find out which archive to download, read the Download IFC SDK topic. This topic also describes the internal archive structure.
Activate your copy of the IFC SDK.
Create your first custom application based on the IFC SDK.
