Get Started with IFC SDK

This section contains information about how to start using IFC SDK.

To get the purpose, general principles, and functionality of the IFC SDK, please see the Overview topic.

Before download and deploy the IFC SDK, take a look at the list of supported platforms.

When you are ready to start the usage of the IFC SDK, it is recommended to follow the steps described below:

  1. Download an appropriate IFC SDK archive for your platform and compiler. To find out which archive to download, read the Download IFC SDK topic. This topic also describes the internal archive structure.
  2. Activate your copy of the IFC SDK.
  3. Create your first custom application based on the IFC SDK.

Information about basic concepts of the IFC SDK usage can also be helpful to start developing IFC SDK-based applications.

Sample applications documentation illustrates how to use IFC SDK functionality.
