Concept of Multi-Line Styles

A multi-line style is an object that defines settings for multi-line entities. A multi-line style defines the number of parallel lines, their offsets, colors, and linetypes, the shape of start and end caps, filling and fill color, and availability of miters. The multi-line style and multi-line entity are associated objects that work together. A multi-line entity uses the associated multi-line style which influences its appearance.

To refer to a multi-line style, multi-line entities use the Object ID of the multi-line style. Several multi-line entities can refer to the same multi-line style. The database associates an ID with each multi-line style and requires a unique name for each multi-line style to identify it.
