Example of Working with Leaders

A sample command for working with leaders is located in the Drawing\Examples\DevGuideCommands subdirectory of the ODA installation folder.

The sample command demonstrates creating four leaders with different properties. The command creates four leaders and then prints the following information about the created leader objects:

  • Plane
  • Normal
  • Scale factor
  • Arrowhead status
  • Arrowhead type
  • Line type
  • Number of vertices
  • Points
  • Line color
  • Annotation type
  • Annotation size
  • Vertical text position
  • Text gap

The four leader objects have different annotation types:

  • First leader has a 'block reference' annotation.
  • Second leader has a 'text' annotation.
  • Third leader has a 'tolerance' annotation.
  • Fourth leader has no annotation.
